Italian research facility releases musculoskeletal data collection
The Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli’s Super Computing Solutions (SCS) and the Computational Bioengineering Lab of Bologna, Italy have released the first dataset that makes up the Living Human Digital Library (LHDL) multiscale musculoskeletal data collection.
The bone surfaces represent the 3D skeletal anatomy of the cadaver of a 78 year old woman with normal morphology (Donor1), said the research group.
The institute said it will be releasing additional datasets and plans to offer the entire LHDL multiscale collection on LHDL Donor1 by the end of 2010.
