CMS authorizes ClearPractice for PQRI, e-prescribing
ClearPractice has been authorized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), allowing eligible customers to qualify for a 2 percent reimbursement when they use the company’s e-prescribing tool and a 2 percent reimbursement for Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) reporting through the patient registry within ClearPractice’s EMR.
ClearPractice configured its SaaS-based EMR technology to meet all the requirements for the 2010 PQRI registry and e-prescribing, according to the St. Louis-based company.
As an authorized PQRI registry, ClearPractice will submit data to CMS on behalf of eligible physicians based on PQRI quality measures. Similarly, CMS is offering a 2 percent incentive to providers who use e-prescribing technology to improve patient safety and reduce medication costs, ClearPractice stated.
ClearPractice's practice-automation suite includes the EMR and modules for patient health record, practice management, e-prescription, revenue cycle management and mobile applications.
