Philips debuts point-of-care ultrasound system

Philips Healthcare has released its new point-of-care (POC) configuration for its portable CX50 ultrasound system, the Philips CX50 POC.

According to the Andover, Mass-based company, the system can be utilized for focused exams, including cardiac, vascular access, lung, abdominal, OB/GYN and musculoskeletal exams. In addition, the system can be applied in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided pain management, as well as within intensive care and emergency care settings.
