West Virginia facility to deploy Wolters Kluwer order sets
St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va., has selected Wolters Kluwer Health’s ProVation Order Sets, powered by UpToDate Decision Support, as its electronic order set technology.
ProVation Order Sets will provide the 393-bed St. Mary’s integration into clinical processes to assist the delivery of standardized care for patient safety, outcomes, clinician performance and regulatory compliance, stated Wolters Kluwer Health.
UpToDate's Practice Changing Updates alerts end users to evidence that may trigger the need to modify particular order sets and then allows users to review recommended updates and apply them in a single step across multiple order sets, according to the Minneapolis-based Wolters Kluwer.
ProVation Order Sets also can link clinical resources based on client needs and preferences while providing vendor-neutral mapping and export capabilities to allow integration into any facility or vendor EMR or computer provider order entry system, the company added.
