N.Y. health org to deploy NextGen technologies
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, has entered into an agreement with Mount Kisco Medical Group (MKMG) to deploy NextGen Ambulatory EHR, NextGen Practice Management and the NextGen Patient Portal.
Under the agreement with NextGen, MKMG will implement an integrated platform built on a database to help meet its financial and clinical needs. With more than 230 physicians in 22 New York state locations, MKMG providers generate 420,000 e-prescriptions annually, the Horsham, Pa.-based NextGen stated.
NextGen Ambulatory EHR version 5.6 features pre-built clinical templates and workflow for more than 26 specialties to help assist documentation. Disease management templates in NextGen Ambulatory EHR also allow organizations to capture data at the point-of-care, the company stated.
The company also said its NextGen Practice Management offers reporting capabilities that can track quality improvement measures enabling MKMG to centralize appointment scheduling, billing, collections and other business processes.
NextGen Patient Portal promotes an interactive continuum of care between the patient and practice, facilitating electronic communication and clinical data exchange which can be used to respond to patient requests for an electronic copy of health information, including diagnostic test results, problem lists and medication lists, NextGen added.
