CSI, RBMA assist ICD-10 shift with toolkit

Healthcare consulting services provider Coding Strategies (CSI) has partnered with nonprofit Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) to create a new product designed to give radiology administrators tools to prepare the practice for the implementation of ICD-10.

According to CSI, of Powder Springs, Ga., the ICD-10-CM Toolkit contains a model implementation plan and timeline that can be customized for groups, and educational materials to help radiologists document the information needed for ICD-10 coding.

It contains a range of training and assessment materials for coding staff, including radiology-focused coder education presentation and handouts, coding exercises and a coder ICD-10 competency test to assist coders prepare for the conversion. All toolkit components are provided both on paper and on CD to allow easy printing.

The ICD-10-CM Toolkit will be available early fall, the company stated. A sample will be on display at the RBMA 2010 Fall Educational Conference, Sept. 26 through Sept. 29, at the Renaissance Austin in Austin, Texas.
