Merge adds to perioperative software customer base

Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, a nonprofit hospital in the Denver metropolitan area, and Kalispell Regional Medical Center and the Surgery Center of Northwest Healthcare, in Kalispell, Mont., have chosen Merge Healthcare’s Merge Anesthesia Information Management System perioperative software.

According to the Chicago-based company, Merge AIMS offers decision support for documentation of anesthesia care and reporting on national quality measures.

The software includes an anesthesia drug management system that supports barcode scanning, a system of narcotic storage and tracking and a presurgical screening and risk management tool, Merge added.
