CDC to modernize information management system

Science Applications International, a scientific, engineering and technology applications company, was awarded a contract by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide technical services to help the agency modernize its information management systems.

The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a two-year base period of performance, four two-year options and a total ceiling value of $3 billion for all awardees of the information management domain.

Under the CDC Information Management Services (CIMS) contract, the McLean, Va.-based Science Applications is one of 11 companies eligible to compete for future task orders to provide a broad range of technical services, according to the company. These services will include requirements analysis, systems design and development, database analysis and management, information security and user training to support the CDC's IT plan.
