PerkinElmer, LinaTech align for tech development

PerkinElmer and LinaTech have entered into an agreement to collaborate in the development, implementation, marketing and distribution of cancer treatment imaging technologies.

The companies said the products to be developed include imaging subsystems for radiotherapy and upgrades for legacy film-based radiotherapy systems. The companies displayed their first joint product, LinaTech Tigrt Image Viewing System, at the annual meeting for the American Society for Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) in San Diego, between Oct. 31 and Nov. 4.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based LinaTech manufactures medical devices and software for radiotherapy and the Waltham, Mass.-based PerkinElmer develops, manufactures and delivers medical technology.
