RSNA: Sectra unveils image-sharing, digital mammo technologies

Sectra (Booth 7114) is introducing several new vendor-neutral sharing technologies, built on XDS-1, the IHE profile for cross-enterprise sharing, as well as new breast imaging technologies, at the annual conference of the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

To facilitate communication between radiology and referring units, the company is launching Sectra Order Management for the Northern European market. In Sectra Order Management, electronic requests are created and transferred into the radiology workflow. Features such as exam-specific request forms ensure that correct information is included.

At RSNA 2010, Sectra also is previewing its complete digital mammography technologies, including Sectra MicroDose Mammography, its patented photon-counting-based full-field digital mammography system, which is pending FDA approval.
