RSNA: Merge demonstrates image sharing, integration platforms
Merge Healthcare (Booth 3419) is showcasing a variety of new and updated technologies that encourage interoperability, as well as imaging sharing and mobile healthcare applications, within healthcare providers at the 96th scientific assemby and annual conference of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.
The Milwaukee-based company is launching Merge iConnect, a new platform for sharing of images between providers and integration of imaging into health IT applications. Its vendor-neutral archiving platform, Merge ECM, can be used to integrate all clinical specialty imaging, as well as its Clinician Access Portal for client distribution of images and reports to any browser-enabled device, including the iPad.
The eFilm Workstation, with its new Apple iPhone app, will be on hand with iPad technology this year at RSNA.
Merge is offering new technologies for vendors and international value added resellers (VARs) and distributors, including its new CADstream software-only platform for integration into existing MR consoles and/or PACS. In addition, the company said its new interoperability Web Services Platform will be on display to demonstrate RIS/HIS/EHR integration.
For companies participating in clinical trials, Merge will showcase its new etrials CIMS technology for incorporation of imaging workflow into study data collection. VARs and distributors will have a roster of international products designed and built for international deployment with support for various languages, regulatory clearance and translation certification efforts, as well as integration with third party enterprise systems (PACS, RIS, HIS, EMR).
