MD-IT buys transcription company

MD-IT, a provider of medical documentation software, has acquired Word For Word Transcription, a company in Lake Worth, Fla.

Word For Word owner Julie Buonadonna will join MD IT as a consultant, according to MD-IT, of Boulder, Colo. In her new role with MD IT, Buonadonna will advise physician offices and ambulatory clinics on how to transition from paper charts to EMRs.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
