Pediatric Alliance signs Ascent Data for colocation

Pediatric Alliance, a medical practice group that serves the Southwestern Pennsylvania area and includes 10 primary care offices and two specialty care offices for asthma, allergy and immunology and pediatric endocrinology, has selected Ascent Data to provide colocation and managed services.

Ascent Data will enable the organization to protect patient data security, reduce downtime and prepare for stricter HIPAA guidelines, according to the Pittsburgh-based data center colocation and managed services developer.

In addition to colocation, Ascent Data will act as an extension of Pediatric Alliance’s technical team for managed services and support, with a senior technical staff available around the clock, the company said.
