RSNA: Barco unveils new display controllers

Barco introduced a new line of display controllers for medical imaging at the 96th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

The new boards deliver triple-head capabilities and can handle large datasets as well as OpenGL and DirectX functionality, according to the Kortrijk, Belgium-based company.

“Our latest line of MXRT display controllers comprises three models: MXRT-7400, MXRT-5400 and MXRT-2400,” explains Barco's Marketing Director Lynda Domogalla. “All three boards are built with the latest ATI FirePro 3D technology. ... All three are also compatible with the new DisplayPort interface standard.” The mid-range MXRT-5400 and the MXRT-7400 can drive three displays with one PCIe slot, Barco said.
