S.C. provider to install Carestream RIS/PACS

Palmetto Primary Care of Charleston, S.C., has moved to replace its RIS/PACS with its installation of Carestream Health’s Vue RIS and PACS platforms.

Palmetto Primary Care, an 80-physician practice that performs 40,000 imaging exams per year, chose Carestream's Vue with the aims of streamlining, scheduling and integrating imaging data into the provider’s EMR, according to the Rochester, N.Y.-based health IT company. Carestream’s PACS also offers a zero-footprint, web-based viewer, which enables remote access to imaging data, Carestream said.
