The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) has expanded its agreement with health IT company McKesson for revenue cycle management.

For more than seven years, UTHealth has utilized on McKesson’s Revenue Management Solutions (RMS), enabling UTHealth’s Physician Faculty Practice Plan (UT Physicians) to provide care while operating in an environment of cost containment, declining reimbursements and healthcare reform, McKesson, of Atlanta, stated.

The faculty practice plan, which comprises 17 clinical departments and more than 900 providers, has worked with McKesson RMS to automate and streamline its front-end billing processes.
