Merge completes OIS buy

Merge Healthcare has acquired Ophthalmic Imaging Systems (OIS), completing a previously announced $30 million deal.

Chicago-based Merge, which provides enterprise imaging and interoperability systems, will add OIS’ ophthalmic imaging and informatics systems, including a single platform EHR and practice management system, a digital imaging management system and a modular imaging device that can capture images of both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye to its portfolio.
