Siemens unveils fluoroscopy system

Siemens Healthcare has released the Luminos Agile fluoroscopy system, an under-table x-ray system with a height-adjustable table.

The new features are designed for patients with mobility issues, according to Erlangen, Germany-based Siemens. Patients in wheelchairs can undergo fluoroscopy exams while still seated in their chair by tilting the table 90 degrees and positioning the wheelchair between the detector and table, the company explained.

The Luminos Agile has a 43 x 43-centimeter dynamic flat detector that can examine the entire abdominal region without repositioning the patient.
