FDA clears Nucletron's vaginal CT/MR applicator

Nucletron, an Elekta company, has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Vaginal CT/MR Multi Channel (VCMC) Applicator, offering brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers.

The applicator is combined with the Oncentra treatment planning software, according the Stockholm-based company. The VCMC Applicator features Nucletron’s Precise Dose Delivery Solution technology, a system that loads several source channels in the applicator with a catheter geometry.
