Merge upgrades Fysicons image portal

IT health company Merge Healthcare will be expanding its relationship with Dutch imaging distributor Fysicon by customizing the company’s Evocs image management portal.

Under the new agreement, Chicago-based Merge will upgrade Evocs with a new image viewer, make the product zero footprint and work at developing a vendor-neutral Evocs. Fysicon, which distributes imaging products for radiology and cardiology, says it has transported more than 60 million images through its Evocs portal.

Headquartered in Oss, the Netherlands, Fysicon said it will be showcasing the new product at Zorg & ICT Congress in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
