Mexico taps Canon for DR systems

Canon Medical Systems has installed 178 digital radiography systems integrated with Canon CXDI-50G and CXDI-55G digital radiography systems in various hospitals throughout Mexico through its local distributors.

The Canon CXDI-50G portable DR system accommodates various radiographic applications, including trauma, intensive care unit and bedside exams. The system can be retrofitted onto almost any new or existing x-ray equipment including an upright stand, universal stand or bucky table, according to the Lake Success, N.Y.-based company.

The Canon CXDI-55G system offers an imaging area of 14 x 17 inches to accommodate studies such as wheelchair chest, decubitus views and weight-bearing exams and can be utilized for a variety of x-ray applications, including trauma centers, ICUs, pediatrics and orthopedics.
