FDA clears Magnetom Spectra 3T MRI
The FDA has cleared the Magnetom Spectra 3T MRI system from Siemens Healthcare.
The MRI system features Tim (Total imaging matrix) 4G coil technology, as well Siemens’ MRI workflow technology Dot (Day optimizing throughput), which guides scanning strategy based on clinical indication and the patient's condition.
The scanner's array structure allows for high spatial and temporal resolution, according to Siemens. The company added that Magnetom Spectra's signal-to-noise ratio also supports image quality.
The system can be used for applications ranging from diagnosing damaged ankle cartilage to conducting dynamic abdominal examinations to performing functional brain imaging.
