FDA clears Toshibas 16-element MRI coils

Toshiba America Medical Systems has received FDA clearance for its high-density 16-element coil system, developed in partnership with NeoCoil.

Available for the Vantage Titan 1.5T, the 16-element flexible coils conform to the anatomy, which improves signal-to-noise ratio, according to Toshiba. The coils are available in medium and large sizes and are suited for general orthopedic and body imaging. The flexible coils also can be used for general purpose as well as head, neck and spine imaging.
