N.Y. vascular center taps Toshiba for 3T MR

Kaleida Health’s Gates Vascular Institute has installed the Vantage Titan 3T MR system from Toshiba America Medical Systems.

Titan 3T MR has a 71 cm open bore and allows feet-first imaging for most exams, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba. Its Pianissimo technology seeks to reduce exam noise. The Buffalo, N.Y.-based center is using non-contrast imaging for some vascular exams, eliminating the use of potentially harmful contrast agents.
