HIMSS: McKesson, RelayHealth to unveil Better Health 2020 initiative

McKesson (Booth 2545) and RelayHealth (Booth 3618) are highlighting their Better Health 2020 initiative, which seeks to address today’s healthcare issues—from cost reduction to care coordination to managing risk—at the 2012 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, Feb. 20-24.

The San Francisco-based McKesson said these products will be focused through this initiative:
  • Paragon hospital information system (HIS), a single-database system featuring clinical and financial applications for hospitals of varied sizes;
  • McKesson Enterprise Intelligence Solutions that combine benchmarking, analytics and enterprise visibility services to create a chain between retrospective and real-time decision making;
  • McKesson Strategic Supply Sourcing, an automated strategic sourcing service to help reduce spend leakage and optimize the supply chain portfolio; and
  • RelayHealth’s interoperability services to help providers streamline communication between patients, providers, payors, pharmacies and financial institutions.
