Toshiba Adds Flat Panel Detector to Kalare R&F X-ray for More Accurate Exams
Healthcare providers can improve their diagnostic confidence with Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.’s more flexible KalareTM R&F digital X-ray system. Featuring a new 17ʺ x 17ʺ dynamic flat panel detector (works-in-progress), the system provides clinicians with distortion-free, high-quality images.
Toshiba’s Kalare R&F digital X-ray puts customers first with an unmatched system design that provides unparalleled access and patient coverage. Replacing the current image intensifier with a flat panel detector extends coverage for imaging larger patients, and helps reduce panning time for exams requiring fluoroscopy, such as a barium swallow.
“The Kalare R&F is designed with a ‘one system’ approach that can handle a diverse patient load while helping clinicians perform more exams with ease, comfort and speed,” said David Sloop, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. “With the new flat panel detector, clinicians can obtain more information from the images, resulting in quicker, more accurate patient diagnoses.”
Toshiba is showcasing the Kalare R&F at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Dec. 1–6, 2013 (Booth #7330, North Hall).
