Growth expected for medical electronics market

The U.S. medical electronics market is estimated to rise to $372.4 billion by 2018, according to a worldwide medical electronics market report published November 2013 by research firm Axis Research Mind.

By 2018, imaging systems, including diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, and surgical systems are expected to account for 52.9 percent of the global medical electronics market.

Imaging takes the largest slice of market growth with an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.9 percent by 2018. Surgical and monitoring systems are also thought to grow at about 13.4 percent CAGR.

The Asia-Pacific region growth is expected to climb at a noteworthy CAGR of 17.2 percent from 2011-2018. More than 1,346 stakeholders worldwide were pointed out for the medical electronics market and 51 were highlighted as global industry leaders.
