Mediso reaches another milestone with 150th installation of preclinical integrated multimodality imaging system

September 17, 2014-Mediso Medical Equipment Developing and Service Ltd. is proud to announce the hundred and fiftieth installation of Mediso manufactured, integrated preclinical imaging systems, at the prestigious Edinburgh University. Istvan Bagamery, managing director of Mediso commented: “We were able to reach this milestonesince the first installation of Mediso manufactured equipment in 2006, by continuously develop ing the integrated multimodality systems to serve the scientific community and pharmaceutical industry”.

The constant technological innovation makes the Mediso nanoScan family the first-line choice for preclinical imaging. The wide range in our portfolio includes the world’s first integrated PET/MRI preclinical system, which have now been installed successfully in four continents since 2011. Multimodality combinations, including SPECT/CT, PET/CT and the newest member SPECT/MRI, enables Mediso to tailor the configuration to meet the requirements of all customers. Applications from advanced research institutes to start-up laboratories can be achieved, whilst maintaining the highest image quality standard on the market.

Next to nanoScan family SPECT /MR /PET /CT multimodality combinations, Mediso recently released the MultiScan LFER 150 PET/CT integrated imaging system further expanding the potential user base. The versatility of the PET detector rings in the MultiScan Large Field of view Extreme Resolution scanner completes Mediso’s platform in molecular imaging, supporting the full range of animal studies, from mouse up to non-human primates.

Scientific collaboration with academic institutes contributed to this milestone and helped Mediso to become the market leader of pre-clinical nuclear imaging in the UK. World-wide distributor network and service support, including subsidiaries in Germany, USA, Australia and Poland, backs up Mediso operations with installations and continuous upgrades.

A prime example of this is the UK where Mediso have appointed Bartec Technologies to act as exclusive sales and 1st line service partners. Prof. Alan Perkins from the University of Nottingham recently stated: “I have been impressed by the support and help of both Mediso and the BartecTechnologies team. We are pleased with both our SPECT/CT system and the newly acquired nanoScan PET/CT in Nottingham and now have a challenging agenda of work in both PET and CT studies. I look forward to continuing collaboration as we continue to push the system to produce the best possible results.”
