Deadline for SNMMI governmental fellowship approaches

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Robert E. Henkin Fellowship is an annual opportunity for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging professionals just starting out in their careers and are involved closely in government relations.

Candidates should be involved in state or federal legislation or regulatory bodies and doing work that is linked to SNMMI governmental outreach. Recommendation letters are due by Dec. 26 and the overall application deadline is Jan. 6.

"[The Fellowship] was a great experience and will have a lasting impact on the rest of our careers," said Jason Wachsmann, MD, and Sara Vandehey, CNMT, RT(N)(CT), 2014 fellows, in a press release. "We were thankful to be selected as the recipients of the 2014 Fellowship, and despite coming from different backgrounds, shared an interest in learning about the many facets of government that have an impact on the field of nuclear medicine."
