Delaware gov. signs breast density reporting bill

Governor Jack Markell has signed Delaware’s breast density reporting bill (SB 37) into law. There are now 23 states that have passed some sort of density reporting legislation.

The law will go into effect in 180 days.

Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina and Washington have introduced similar bills in 2015, according to Are You Dense, Inc. A federal bill, the Breast Density and Mammography Reporting Act of 2015, has been introduced in both the House and Senate.
