ACR releases repository of FDA-cleared AI imaging algorithms

The American College of Radiology’s Data Science Institute has compiled a list of AI algorithms to help radiologists with the coming technological revolution.

All algorithms have been approved by the FDA, and include a summary detailing the product’s model manufacturer, FDA code, performance on clinical testing and evaluation, and more specifications.

The models encompass a wide variety of diagnostic tasks, including pneumothorax detection on chest x-rays and highlighting brain segments on MRI scans.

A majority align with the ACR DSI’s Define-AI use cases which describe scenarios in which AI has improved medical imaging care. The ACR said it plans to update its AI repository regularly.
