ActiveHealth members can now import Microsoft HealthVault into PHR

ActiveHealth Management has released portability options for members using its personal health record (PHR), ActivePHR.

Members who have ActivePHR through their employer or health plan will now be able to transfer their health information to the consumer version of ActivePHR or to Microsoft HealthVault, a web-based consumer health platform. These new options allow members to create a lifelong record of their valuable health information even if they change jobs or health plans, the New York City-based company said.

In 2009, members will be able to import data from HealthVault into ActivePHR, according to Nita Stella, senior vice president of product development, ActiveHealth.

The new portability features build on the existing functionality that enables ActivePHR members to print or download their entire PHR, or specific parts of it.
