An added dimension to 3D printing
The potential for 3D printing in medicine has created quite the buzz, as surgeons, radiologists and others experiment with ways the technology can improve care. While 3D printing applications in medicine are still developing, one inventor is already looking ahead at the next innovation: 4D printing.
Skylar Tibbits, a computational architect and research scientist at MIT, gave a talk at a TED conference where he described printable objects that can reshape themselves over time, adding another dimension to the potential of the technology in medicine and beyond. See more at the link below:
