3DR extends practice capabilities

3DR Laboratories displayed and discussed its two main product lines at the 2008 RSNA; its outsourced 3D post-processing service and the firm’s 3DR thin-server capacity on a 24/7 basis.

The firm offers both on-site and off-site outsourced 3D image post-processing on a per-study basis—for handling complex cases or practice overflow—as well as providing advanced visualization processing on a practice’s entire range of studies.

In addition, the company spotlighted its online technologist training product, 3DR Academy.

The program, launched this year, allows students to take all or part of a Volumetric Medical Imaging curriculum as a series of modules, earning fractional college credit and continuing education units. Volumetric Medical Imaging is a certificate program for radiologic technologists and is administered through Jefferson Community and Technical College in Kentucky.
