Ziosoft, Medicsight integrate CAD, CT colonography technologies

Ziosoft, a provider of advanced visualization and analysis software for medical imaging, has formed a partnership to market Medicsight’s computer-aided detection (CAD) software integrated within its Ziostation thin-client 3D system.

The companies said that the combined CT colonography product is expected to be launched early 2009, upon regulatory clearance by the FDA.

Integrating the London-based Medicsight’s ColonCAD with Ziosoft’s 3D imaging applications will result in a comprehensive colon analysis toolset throughout a healthcare enterprise, according to Mark Koeniguer, chief operating officer for the Redwood City, Calif.-based Ziosoft.
