Compressus bolsters executive team

Compressus has promoted Janine Broda to chief marketing officer and appointed Shawn Gibbons as corporate executive vice president (VP) and general manager of its MEDxConnect division.

Previously serving as VP and general manager of the MEDxConnect division, Broda is now responsible for market positioning for Compressus' medical imaging products. Gibbons' will be responsible for managing the continued expansion of the MEDxConnect sales, marketing and customer support operations, according to John B. Macfarlane, CEO, Compressus.

Prior to joining Compressus, Broda was the VP of professional services and director of sales for the Western region of Fischer Imaging. Prior to that, Broda spent 18 years at Agfa HealthCare, starting as a sales executive and eventually becoming director of strategic business development.

A 25-year veteran of the PACS, healthcare information systems and radiology industries, Gibbons previously served as global PACS product manager for GE Healthcare IITS. Prior to GE, he was at IDX, where he served as imaging-integration product manager, responsible for the new product launches, development of a cardiology PACS product line and the overall product roadmap.
