Amersham names Health President Peter Loescher as COO

Amersham plc has chosen Peter Loescher as COO, effective Jan. 1, 2004.

 Loescher joined Amersham in December 2002 as president of Amersham Health. In the new post, Loescher will report to Amersham Chief Executive Sir William Castell.

 Prior to joining Amersham, Loescher served as chairman and CEO of Japanese pharmaceutical firm Aventis Pharma.
