Bio-Imaging appoints new president for data capture division

Bio-Imaging Technologies has appointed Peter S. Benton as president of its Phoenix Data Systems (PDS) division, a provider of electronic data capture services.

Benton will succeed William Claypool, MD, who is leaving PDS to start a pharmaceutical development consulting company, Pennmark Associates.

Benton has more than 20 years of experience, within the pharmaceutical research industry in operations, management, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. 

Most recently, he was chief operating officer of an eClinical technology services company, where he was responsible for overall operations, including project management, applications development, quality control, customer support and technology integration.

Previously, he was associated with Johnson & Johnson’s Pharmaceutical business, where he served as vice president of central planning.
