Cardiac Science, NextGen partner for cardiac EMR solutions
CHICAGO—Cardiac Science, a provider in advanced cardiac diagnosis, resuscitation, rehabilitation and informatics products, has completed certification for its HeartCentrix ECG informatics software with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, according to an announcement made at the 2008 American College of Cardiology (ACC) Scientific Sessions.
NextGen is a developer and provider of computer-based practice management and EMR systems for medical group practices and healthcare systems.
Current clients will be readily able to take advantage of connectivity to the HeartCentrix informatics software, and the integration will be leveraged through the installed base of customers, according to the Bothell, Wash.-based Cardiac Sciences.
The company said that HeartCentrix—which enables seamless data transfer from Burdick and Quinton electrocardiograph devices, cardiac stress and Holter monitoring devices to physician EMR software—can be installed with a new NextGen EMR implementation, or into an existing NextGen account.
