Cowen takes helm at CMS

Radiation treatment hardware and software developer CMS Inc. has appointed Andrew Cowen, a member of the company's Board of Directors for the past seven years, as president and CEO. Cowen succeeds Douglas Sprague, who will continue to serve the company as an advisor to Cowen.
   
Cowen has served for the past 12 years as an executive of Brown Brothers Harriman, most recently as a senior vice president in its private equity investment group, with primary responsibility for Brown Brothers' life sciences investments.
