CSC releases e-prescription tool in EU

CSC has unveiled a Europe-wide e-prescription tool to provide services to replace manual prescription processes with a computerized system.

Based on the experience of implementing an e-prescribing system in Denmark, CSC said its technology will be made suitable for deployment in other European countries.

CSC's web-based tool provides healthcare partners with access to a single view of a patient’s medication profile. It's built on international standards, enabling access and transmission of prescriptions between healthcare systems while complying with HL7 standards, according to the Falls Church, Va., company.
