Eclipsys integrates patient portal with Microsoft's consumer health platform

Healthcare IT developer Eclipsys will integrate its Sunrise Patient Portal with HealthVault, Microsoft's newly-launched consumer health platform.

HealthVault enables an environment of online services for people to privately store and share their health information, according to Boca Raton, Fla.-based Eclipsys.

Patients using Sunrise Patient Portal will be able to access information stored within Eclipsys’ clinical information solutions, such as EMRs and scheduled appointments and can interact with healthcare organizations, Eclipsys said.
