Eclipsys taps Zarzour for VP, GM of Middle East operations

Ali Zarzour has been appointed to the role of vice president and general manager of Middle East operations at Eclipsys.

In this capacity, Zarzour will lead the regional market strategy and business operations in the Middle East marketplace, including a recruitment process, the Atlanta-based Eclipsys said. He will report directly to John Gomez, executive vice president and chief technology officer of international operations.

Zarzour joins Eclipsys from Microsoft, where for six years as a healthcare industry manager he served in a variety of leadership capacities in support of creating and growing the healthcare business for the company in the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Microsoft, Eclipsys said that he started a number of companies, including Vertscape in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, a provider of extended enterprise relationship management solutions based on .Net and web services.
