Emageon names Perkins as COO

Emageon, a provider of medical IT systems for hospitals and healthcare networks, has named Chris E. Perkins as chief operating officer (COO).

The executive joins Emageon from Per-Se Technologies, where he served in senior executive positions prior to its acquisition by McKesson earlier this year, according to the Birmingham, Ala.-based Emageon. His responsibilities at Per-Se included executive vice president, CFO and COO.
