Executive Announcements: Eclipsys gets new VP; Misys Healthcare names new general manager
Eclipsys Corporation has named Joe Petro as senior vice president of product development. In the role he will be responsible for all aspects of Eclipsys' product development organization. John Gomez, who previously led Eclipsys' development organization as part of his responsibilities, will now become the company's full-time chief technology officer.
With over 15 years of experience as a product development executive, Petro has a demonstrated track record developing effective product roadmaps and management processes, as well as building and scaling geographically dispersed development teams, including India operations, the company said.
Roger L. (Vern) Davenport has been appointed to executive vice president and general manager at Misys Healthcare Systems in Raleigh, N.C.. Davenport has 25 years of experience in the healthcare IT market, previously working for Eastman Kodak Company as chief operating officer of Healthcare Information Solutions, and holding various senior positions at Siemens Medical Solutions after its acquisition of Shared Medical Systems, where Davenport was also vice president.
