Through an exclusive distribution agreement with Imtec of Ardmore, Okla., GE Healthcare will solely distribute Iluma’s cone-beam CT scanner, which provides radiographic imaging for sinus, head and neck and temporal bone assessment to medical professionals.
GE reported that Iluma’s scanner delivers high quality medical CT image resolution with 14-bit images as thin as 0.09mm voxel size.
In addition, the device comes with a 3D Vision software package. The application provides a set of advanced visualization tools including the capability to generate panoramic images; volume rendering with image presets; measurement tools for 3D and 2D images; and surface rendering of skin and soft tissue, according to GE.
