Invivo unveils more breast imaging advancements
The Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting in Chicago last month provided an opportunity for Invivo to show some of its mammography solutions available and some in the making. Sue Reisker, product manager for the Orlando-based company, said clients are asking for one workstation for all modalities. Invivo is looking at combining MR and mammography into one station and more integration with PACS. She said end-users also want higher resolution, as well as improved throughput.
Their newest solution is the DynaCAD 2.0 Enterprise Solution for client server implementation for enterprise-wide distribution of process studies. Up to five concurrent studies can be reviewed simultaneously. The hybrid client model provides shared process on both the DynaCAD server and the clients’ within the network.
The interventional planning workstation, DynaCAD 2.0, includes a new advanced visualization tool – MR dataset applications for the breast.
The company unveiled its work-in-progress, 16 Channel Luminescence breast coil, at the show, which the company said is a jump from the previous 8-channel coil. The prototype coil is designed to be much more accessible for posterior and cranial access. It has a light feature, is lightweight, and has a low profile making MR-guided biopsies easier to perform.
