Mindray names new COO

Mindray Medical International, a developer and marketer of medical devices in China, has appointed Jie Liu to the position of chief operating officer (COO).

Liu has served as executive vice president of international sales and marketing for Mindray since 2007.  Previously, he was vice president of international sales and marketing, according to the Shenzhen, China-based company.

Prio to Mindray, Liu worked within sales, marketing and product management with multinational companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Johnson & Johnson, the company said.
