Mummy coffins get CT scanned for construction insights
A clinical fellow in radiology at the University of Cambridge has used CT to peer into the materials and designs behind several ancient Egyptian mummy coffins.
The British rad-to-be didn’t find out a whole lot that wasn’t already known, but he reconfirmed that the builders used recycled wood due to scarcity, and Phys.org has posted a few images.
