NAS appoints Barring as COO

Radiation therapy product and service provider North American Scientific (NAS) has named Troy Barring to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief operating officer (COO).

Barring, formerly vice president of worldwide services for Biosense Webster, will manage operations as well as research and development for the Chatsworth, Calif.-based company’s Radiation Sources division, which includes the new NAS breast brachytherapy products, ClearPath HDR and ClearPath CR.

Barring will report directly to NAS president and CEO John Rush, the company said.
